To Whom It May Concern:

     I was very fortunate to have Cindy Hasz start to take care of my parents, my mother in particular, in April of this year. She continues to act very much as I would if I were currently living in the San Diego area. Cindy has a gift of understanding and warmth that transcends all traditional age barriers.
     
When it became apparent in April that my mother was gradually becoming less and less able to live by herself, our Merrill Lynch Trust Officer requested Suzanne Slaughter and Cindy Hasz from ASSIST to assess my mother's situation.
     
Their initial visit to my mother was conducted at a less than ideal time since she was very distressed, but Cindy very quickly established a special rapport with my mother. After this visit, both Cindy and Suzanne initiated many phone and e-mail conversations with me, which quickly appraised me of the local situation. I agreed totally with their assessment and gratefully accepted their suggestions for care for my mother in her own home. When it became apparent that my mother would need to move into an assisted living accommodation as quickly as possible, I felt like I had two sisters to help me and my mother make this major life transition. I do sincerely believe I would not have been able to facilitate this move for my mother without their help.
     
Now my mother is settled in her new surroundings, and I have returned to North Carolina to my work and family here. Cindy continues to look in on my mother several time a week. She has taken her to doctor appointments,
