Ms. Suzanne Slaughter
ASSIST
Dear
Suzanne,
I
am very pleased to provide a reference letter on your behalf.
There
are no words that can convey the magnitude of appreciation and respect my
family has for Suzanne Slaughter and her staff. By some miracle Suzanne's
name was given to us when my family faced a crisis. We live on the east coast
and my mother's close cousin passed away unexpectedly in California - 3,000
miles away. Her husband (our "uncle"), who suffers some form of
dementia, was so traumatized by the news of his wife's unexpected death that
he left the hospital and wandered away.
Frantic
that we couldn't reach him we contacted Suzanne. Suzanne handled our emergency
call with unbelievable professionalism
and speed. Without even knowing us or without even asking about finances,
Suzanne sent a "swat team" from her staff to stake out his house
and the nursing home he frequented. She called us every hour until he was
found. She made sure he was in a safe place and spent night and day with him
to reassure him, take him to a doctor, feed and clothe him. Suzanne went well
beyond the call of duty. Most of all, she made my uncle feel loved and cared
for since he was so distraught. My family and I will always be grateful to
Suzanne for helping him and us through this sad and confusing time.
